Earthquake
The shaking that results from the movement of rock beneath Earth’s surface.
Fossils
The remains or imprint of a prehistoric plant or animal.
Igneous
Rock produced by the cooloing and solidification of magma, either on or below Earth’s surface.
Magma
Melted rock deep within Earth.

Naturally occuring, inorganic solid that has a crystal structure and a definite chemical composition.
Rock cycle
The continuous process of change in which new rocks are formed from old rocks.
Sedimentary
Rock produced by cemented and compacted mineral particles deposited by wind, water, ice, or chemical reactions.
Sedimentation
Sediment has been deposited, the process of compaction and cementation change the sediment into sedimentary rock.
Volcano
