Earth's Energy - Oh Yea...How Ya Gonna Prove It?
Describe the difference between climate and weather, and how technology is used to monitor changes in each.
Weather and climate are terms which are often used incorrectly. The term weather refers to what is currently happening with respect to the atmosphere around us. The term climate on the other hand has reference to the average weather which is occurring.
Climate, therefore, refers to the weather over a long period of time. It may indicate a change over several weeks or months, or may instead be used to reference changes that happened over the course of hundreds of years.
