Pre-Assessment

Choose the appropriate pre-assessment level (junior high or high school) and quiz the students either orally or by written quiz using FACTS TO KNOW or SUGGESTED FACTS TO KNOW.  Remember that a written quiz might not accurately pre-assess a non-reader's knowledge.

NOTE TO TEACHER:  Students may have been exposed to the concept of MyPyramid from a number of sources, including FLLCA (Family, Career and Community Leaders of America) programs, health classes, family experiences, etc. It is important to assess the depth of knowledge and adjust lesson plans to fit the needs of the individual students and groups.
