Summary

Students will sew a seam allowance sample using 1/4 inch, 1/2 inch, 5/8 inch, and 1 inch seam allowances, and read a measuring tape to the nearest 1/8 of an inch.


Materials

Tape measures, seam gauges, sewing machines, packet worksheet, sample directions, and 6"X6" sample square of material


Intended Learning Outcomes

Students will sew a seam allowance sample using 1/4 inch, 1/2 inch, 5/8 inch, and 1 inch seam allowances, and read a measuring tape to the nearest 1/8 of an inch.
