A Chick Called Saturday These calendar activities will help students understand what a calendar is all about in terms of time measurement. Jack and the Beanstalk - Plant a Bean and Watch it Grow Students will plant bean seeds, watch them grow, measure them with nonstandard objects. In addition, students will describe the beans' growth in a journal and record the growth on a calendar. K - Act. 22: Outdoor Observation Using their five senses, students will conduct outdoor observations of the four seasons.

Lesson Plans
Our National Parks: Recreation and Preservation Students will learn about the National Park system in the United States and, through exploration of the parks (via books, magazines, maps, and the Internet), identify human modifications to the physical environment and the intended and unintended effects of those modifications.
