Summary:
Students learn the principle of design, Emphasis, through class participation, a PowerPoint presentation, and a portfolio assignment.

Demonstrate knowledge of the principles (rules) of design. (*STEM: Math, Science)

Outlined in the attached lesson plan

Background For Teachers:
Knowledge of the elements of design and how they are used to create emphasis. This is also discussed in the PowerPoint presentation.

Student Prior Knowledge:
Elements of Design and understanding their relationship to the Principles of Design.

Intended Learning Outcomes:
Students will add a page discussing emphasis to their professional portfolio.
