Fossils Vocabulary -- Frayer Model

Summary

Students will use the Frayer model to define and learn four terms related to fossils.

Materials

• student sheet (attached)
• textbook or online access

Instructional Procedures

1. Hook activity -- Show various examples of fossils and have a discussion about how fossils form. A website with video clips can be found at: How Fossils are Made (Discovery Channel)
2. Hand out student sheet and have the students complete it on their own or with a partner.
