Background For Teachers:
The textbook used is, "Strengthening Family and Self" published by Goodheart-Willcox.

Intended Learning Outcomes:
Labor and delivery. An epidural is the most commonly used anesthesia. Terms: stages of delivery, dilation, afterbirth, obstetrician; pediatrician, episiotomy, nurturing and bonding/postpartum. Define nurturing and bonding. Touch is critical in the bonding process. Postpartum symptoms.

Instructional Procedures:
Day 1: Journal, Text, Video Clip Father of the Bride 2, Unit Notes and Discussion, Video Clip The Incredible Human Machine by National Geographic. Day 2: Fieldtrip to Hospital
