Summary

I have used this lesson plan with both Sophomores with the novel, The pearl, and with my Seniors with Frankenstein. It will work with any book as an example of an informational texts and appeal to multiple intelligences.

Large Pieces of Butcher Paper for Background Crayons, Colored Pencils, rulers, construction paper Sample Movie posters or advertisements


Student Prior Knowledge

Students have a solid background knowledge of the novel.


Intended Learning Outcomes

Students will create an informational (sometimes functional) poster using persuasive and creative advertising techniques. Students will demonstrate their mastery of the text by adapting the plot, characters, ect. to a movie format.
