2nd Grade - Act. 02: Healthy Foods After listening to Russell Hoban's story "Bread and Jam for Frances", students will illustrate their favorite food and add it to the Food Pyramid Graph. 2nd Grade - Act. 03: Just a Minute After completing the various activities in this lesson, students will be able to understand the importance for a healthy body to be able to do an activity for 1 - 5 minutes. 2nd Grade - Act. 04: What Time Is It? After setting various times on their clocks, students will record the events of the day on a "My Day" worksheet. 2nd Grade - Act. 05: Olympics Students will rotate through a variety of "Olympic" activities and record their results. 2nd Grade - Act. 06: Fractions Students will explore the concept of fractions. Exploring Balance Simple activities for younger children to explore balance. Living Life Cycles Students will use body movements and facial expressions to act out the life cycle of a butterfly. Lower Grade Basketball Activities Children will gain experience with a basketball and proper techniques. Pedometer Play Students will use pedometers to record and graph various activities. Picnic Field Day This activity uses the book 100 Hungry Ants to help students learn to complete partitive divisions problems.
