Attachments

  • Directions.doc
This is the set of directions that you will set in front of the students for the math building pyramids activity.
  • Pharaoh.ppt
"Who wants to be a Pharaoh?" game in a Powerpoint file.
To open, double click "Pharaoh.ppt" or open it in Powerpoint. Follow the directions on the first slide.
To change open the file and change the correct answer out of the 4 choices (which can be viewed by going forward a few slides). Be sure to change the answers on the 50/50 Slide as well and the Correct & Incorrect Answer Slides. It is not necessary to change the audience says slides. You can make more slides for more questions, but it would take copying the information and changing the links. (More advanced powerpoint knowledge would be needed.)
  • Write_Your_Own_Epitaph.doc
Write Your Own Epitaph is a language based lesson where students will work in groups and individually and produce a piece of writing. It is designed to require very little teacher instruction. You may choose to place kids in groups any way you wish. However, I do not recommend groups any larger than 4 or 5 kids.

Websites

*** Social Studies: The audience is the teacher. Complete www.activities.

*** Social Studies: This particular game can be done in a group setting with the teacher, or in small groups as students. "Who Wants to Be a Pharaoh?"

*** Mathematics: The teacher will set out clumps of play dough and a set of directions in front of each space (group size depends on the teacher. The students will follow the directions provided them, and then move to another center or activity.
