Summary

In this activity students review vocabulary and determine how well they know them.

Instructional Procedures

  1. Ask the students to show you a thumbs up if they know the word. If they have heard of it but do not know what it is then thumb sideways. If they do not know the word thumbs down. If the students hold their hand in front of them, then the other students cannot see what they are answering.
    OR
  2. As you read through the words have the students move to 3 different parts of the room indicating their knowledge level. The students may try to move with their friends.
  3. Hand out worksheet.
