Welcome Future Astronauts of the World!
This activity will help you learn about the universe. Choose your research topic and keep a journal in word processing.
Make your travel plans. Pack the appropriate clothing and food. You might need to invent some equipment that will help you survive the extreme conditions in our universe. Prepare for lift off!
This is a learning center for designed for young astronomers.
1. Where is your topic located in the universe?
2. What is the size compared to the size of Earth?
3. Find one interesting fact that you didn't know.

Astronomy Picture of the Day
See breathtaking pictures of the universe. Look but don't copy without permission.
1. Look for a picture of your planet.
2. Look at the picture that was shot on your birthday this year.
3. Choose one other picture to view.

This site is loaded with lots of good things.
1. Go here and click on Solar System Virtual Tour. Investigate all of the planets.
2. Click on "Space View" and then click on "Solar System Planets: The Bestof Your Amazing Images."

This site has more exploration than you can imagine! Click on "Solar System Trading Cards." Read the directions and begin trading.
KidsAstronomy
Information Expedition! Get specific, please.
1. Choose your planet and gather as much information as you can. Report it in your journal.
2. Copy the statistics chart on your planet in your journal.

1. Play the Solar System Switch-A-Roo.
2. Now click on "Blast Off for a Mars Adventure!" If you don't pack the "Right Stuff" you'll freeze...or will you burn up?

This site has colored picture maps of the planets. Locate your planet map and do the following:
1. Download it to your file.
2. Tell its location in the solar system.
3. Create a short paragraph in your journal with a link to this site.
