Utah Education Network (UEN), as an authorized governmental entity of the State of Utah, enters into software licensing agreements and related contracts using processes established under Utah law to make services available to UEN stakeholders throughout Utah. Stakeholders include K-12 schools, local school districts, higher education institutions, and other entities of the State of Utah. Our standardized contracting framework is designed to protect the State and UEN stakeholders, as well as students, by incorporating robust legal, security, privacy, and digital accessibility requirements while preserving applicable statutory protections. When negotiating with vendors, we strive to ensure that each agreement includes clearly defined provisions addressing data protection, cybersecurity safeguards, regulatory compliance, and accessibility standards.
