Welcome to the AI & School Leadership Collaborative
The AI & School Leadership Collaborative is an exciting new initiative from the Utah Education Network and the Utah Education Policy Center, designed for K-12 school leaders who are ready to explore how artificial intelligence can support strategic planning, instructional leadership and personalize teaching and learning.

With guidance from experts at the Utah Education Policy Center, the Utah Education Network and leading professionals in the field, this collaborative empowers school leadership teams to utilize AI in developing innovative, human-centered solutions to their school’s most pressing challenges.

About the Program
Participants are encouraged to participate in school-based teams composed of administrators, coaches, and teachers. Throughout the collaborative, participants will engage in a powerful blend of in-person sessions, virtual check-ins and individual coaching. These experiences are designed to build the knowledge, skills and dispositions needed to confidently lead school communities in using AI to improve educational outcomes for all students while championing human connection and informed decision making.

Application Details
Because we anticipate receiving a large number of applications, we will limit the first cohort of the collaborative to 16 teams to ensure we can fully support your learning and your school’s implementation of the principles, techniques, and tools you learn throughout the program. To complete your application, simply click the button above. The application should take 3-5 minutes to complete, and you'll hear back from us no later than August 18.

School-Based Collaborative Teams
Each school team within the program will include the school’s principal (you!), an instructional coach or assistant principal, and two or three teachers, meaning you’ll have the chance to learn with others who are deeply familiar with your school’s strengths and challenges.

Implementation Support
In addition to the learning opportunities described above, your school will also be coached through the implementation process via short intra-session assignments and individualized support. Intra-session work will be designed to help you align your learning with your school’s goals and initiatives, with an approximate time commitment of 3-5 hours between sessions (approximately one hour per week). Once you have completed the program, members of UEN's professional development team will be available to support you and your staff in using artificial intelligence effectively in your building.
