Intended Learning Outcomes

Evaluate personal readiness for parenting roles and responsibilities. Weigh costs and benefits of becoming a parent. How job demands and financial readiness affect personal readiness. Assess insurance considerations before becoming a parent. Challenges and rewards of parenting. Parenting is more demanding and more permanent than any other job. Financial obligations begin before a child is born. Children are self-centered and demanding. Children have an impact on the marital relationship. Identify parenting roles of fathers and mothers. Emphasize the difference and importance of motherhood and fatherhood.
