Visitors remember, discover and learn in these museums that present the best of our country's culture, heritage and accomplishments. Museum Access explores these museums in a way that the everyday visitor cannot. It goes behind the scenes where ordinary folks don't get a chance to go. Talking to the directors, curators and creative personnel to get an insider's view. Each Museum Access episode includes travel, history, education and most of all fun! Explore the underwater world of dolphins and whales. Then travel to outer space with Astronaut James Lovell. Take a peek into Leonardo Da Vinci's workshop in Florence, Italy. Follow the journey of China's 2, 000 year old Terracotta Warriors and step into a WWII German submarine. Join us as we celebrate the human spirit in our country's top museums on Museum Access, where Every Visit is an Adventure! Creator & Host Leslie Mueller is an award winning artist, graphic designer and producer. Working with numerous national clients she has experience in front of and behind the camera. She has produced art segments for Lifetime television on 'Our Home' and 'Handmade by Design'. She also appears as the art and style expert on local Connecticut television and radio shows. Her artwork is represented in corporate and private collections worldwide and is included in the United States 'Art in the Embassies' program. Her warm and professional style combined with the eye of an artist and a natural curiosity makes Museum Access a must see show!

  • STERLING HILL MINING MUSEUM - Fluorescent Zinc Minerals, Tunnels and Private Pit

    Join host Leslie Mueller as she visits an underground zinc mine in Ogdensburg, New Jersey at The Sterling Hill Mining Museum. A National Historic Site and considered the florescent mineral capital of the world, this mine has 35 miles of tunnels. See where workers gathered each morning in the old mill building, visit an underground lake, see tunnels that glow with florescent zinc ore and see the nearby outdoor pit where a huge slab of fluorescent zinc ore was removed for permanent display at the American Museum of Natural History in NYC.

  • THE BEST OF WORLD HISTORY - Temple of Dendur/Terra Cotta Warriors/DaVinci Machines

    Join host Leslie Mueller as she visits 3 fan favorite museums in this special 'Best of World History' episode. We begin in the Egyptian wing of NYC's Metropolitan Museum of Art at the Temple of Dendur. Learn how it came to the museum and how it was actually cleaned in place. Next stop is China as we learn about the incredible Terra Cotta Warriors exhibition hosted by the Field Museum in Chicago. These larger-than-life figures stood guard over the China's first emperor in his tomb for centuries until they were accidentally discovered by a farmer in his field. Next we visit Italy and the collection of machines designed by Leonardo da Vinci. This special exhibition traveling North America featured the drawings and models of many of da Vinci's inventions including, the bicycle, the helicopter, double hulled boats, and winged gliders.

Set sail with Leslie as she navigates a racing boat at the virtual tiller exhibit, and see what it's really like to be part of a sailing team on deck a racing yacht. Then join us at the nearby Herreshoff Marine Museum. Learn about the history of design, engineering and manufacturing of boats that took place on-site at Herreshoff Manufacturing. See their private model room and workshop and the spectacular Hall of Boats and the 75' DEFIANT built in 1992 for the America's Cup race.
  • ART INSTITUTE OF CHICAGO - Georges Seuret, Pointillism and Conservation Area
