UETN COO Wins Prestigious ISTE “Making It Happen” Award

Dr. Laura Hunter is honored as a visionary leader who empowers learners and teachers

The Utah Coalition for Educational Technology (UCET) and The International Society for Technology in Education (ISTE) are recognizing UETN’s Laura Hunter with a prestigious “Making It Happen Award.” Dr. Hunter graciously received the award Tuesday March 15, 2022 at the Annual UCET conference held in Provo and online.

“This recognition from the UCET Board was unexpected and very nice. The work itself is very rewarding, but acknowledgment from such a dedicated group of people that also work hard for education was a proud moment and much appreciated,” said Dr. Hunter.

The “Making It Happen Award” honors educators and leaders who move forward and don't look back, use technology in innovative ways to support learning goals and realize that teacher empowerment is key to transforming learning. The award also recognizes educators who expect success and see students as real people.
