K-12 Tiered Support
In collaboration with the Utah Cyber Center (UCC), UEN Education Security Services (ESS) offers K-12 LEAs a flexible, tiered support model. All tiers include access to industry-leading cybersecurity tools for endpoints, detection, and response, as well as consortium pricing for additional security tools. Incident response assistance, user-training, and vulnerability and risk management consulting are based on the LEA’s needs.
Tier 1: Tools and Monitoring
Tier 1 is designed for LEAs with a mature cybersecurity capability. LEAs have access to statewide tools but are responsible for managing and responding to security events. LEAs in this tier allow ESS/UCC access to monitor security, detect, and watch for statewide incidents.
Tier 2: Tools and Overwatch
In addition to statewide tools, LEAs enrolled in Tier 2 receive expert guidance and incident response assistance from ESS/UCC. This tier is designed to supplement local IT teams and gives ESS/UCC the ability to take action when necessary.
Tier 3: Tools and Managed
Designed for LEAs with limited or no cybersecurity capability, Tier 3 provides access to statewide tools along with fully managed, 24/7 threat monitoring, incident response, and proactive threat protection.
