- Salt Lake Community College POP Maintenance: 2019-10-31 @ 11:00 PM
Description: UETN Networking staff will be upgrading backbone hardware at the Salt Lake Community College POP (Point of Presence). These hardware upgrades will facilitate additional bandwidth, capacity, and new features Update: This maintenance will begin in 5 minutes. Update: This maintenance completed on time.
Impact: This maintenance will affect all directly connected customers to the SCC POP. The following Higher Education sites and school districts may be affected: Salt Lake Community College, Western Governors, Alpine, Canyons, Granite, Jordan, Murray, and Tooele. Additionally there will be multiple charters, head starts, libraries, etc affected by the maintenance. Description: We will be upgrading the software on our storage array. This process will start at 3:00 PM and last until 11:00 PM. Update: This maintenance will begin in 5 minutes. Update: This maintenance completed at 10:44 PM.
Impact: There is a small chance this could cause an outage and affect all UEN web services. We have done our due diligence, researched the upgrade process and consulted with the storage array vendor. Description: We are investigating a major network outage. We will provide more updates soon. Update: Also affecting Salt Lake County Libraries Nebo School Dist Various Charter Schools from SLC to Richfield We do not have a cause or any updates from Centurylink at this time. Update: Centurylink has attempted soft resets of their equipment in the Salt Lake Valley. At this point, nothing has changed Centurylink is still investigating the issue. Update: Centurylink has identified an equipment failure and is working on getting a replacement. ETR is currently around 2 hours at this time. Update: This outage was resolved at 7:37 PM.
