Lumen Outage Ogden and Weber Countly: 2026-05-31 @ 12:30 PM Description: Outage observed in Weber County and Ogden due to Lumen fiber cut.
Update: As of 9:08 AM, Lumen has been able to repair conduits, and is placing replacement fiber fiber.
Update: Most recent Updates from Lumen:
2026-06-01 19:05:53 GMT - Teams have pulled the first cable approximately 600 feet.
2026-06-01 18:10:03 GMT - Conduit repairs have been completed. Teams continue efforts to pull the cable into place.
2026-06-01 17:02:14 GMT - It has been advised that the cable will need to be pulled 1000 feet into place. Teams continue efforts to complete conduit repairs as cable placement progresses.
Update: Update from Lumen - It has been confirmed the cable is in place; however, the permit allowing teams to complete repairs states work can only take place between 15:00 GMT and 21:00 GMT. As such, repairs have been paused until tomorrow morning. Please be advised the next update will be provided at 15:00 GMT, or if new information becomes available.

Weber/Ogden Lumen Fiber issue: 2026-05-31 @ 1:00 PM Description: UEN is currently seeing a Lumen service outage in the Ogden area.
So far, we are seeing a few sites without internet service:
Lumen has just started investigating the problem, so there are no solid details to share or ETR at the moment.
Update: Update from Lumen:
2026-05-31 20:12:27 GMT - The failure was due to a work agreement with Utah's Department of Transportation. Unfortunately, the work being done by the state cause damage to multiple cables in the Lumen Network. Lumen has requested a permit to gain access to the construction area but has been limited to only access to the shoulder of the road. Crews are currently working to repair conduits. Once the conduits are repaired, the damaged fiber cables will be pulled into position. The fiber cables will not be able to be pulled into position until morning of June 1, 2026. The next update will be communicated upon the start of the process of pulling cables into position unless new information becomes available.
