SCC Outage: 2026-06-14 @ 11:25 PM
Description: UEN has observed an outage for SCC. We have contacted providers but do not currently have an ETA. Update: Lumen technician has arrived and estimated service restoration at 2026-06-15 4:30pm. Please be aware that our NOC is minimally staffed in observance of Juneteenth. If we miss your call, please leave a voicemail and we will call back as soon as possible. Update: Local contact has confirmed greater damage to SCC than initially anticipated due to severe flooding. Facility power will remain offline, however, UEN network equipment will be connected to a generator tomorrow (2026-06-16) morning and should see service restored. Expect another update no later than 10am 2026-06-16. Update: Water Damage was caused by a broken fire hydrant which flooded part of the campus at SLCC. UEN field has restored connectivity to most equipment. At this time only a circuit to Tooele SD is currently down as well as Wallace Stegner. Update: This outage was resolved on time.

Description: SLCC will be switching back to utility power now that the flooding situation has been resolved. They are hoping to have things back online within 12hrs but it could take 24. Update: This maintenance will begin in 5 minutes. Update: This maintenance completed on time.
Impact: All circuits terminating at and passing through the SCC/SLCC network node.

Some Sites out of Salt Lake Community College: 2026-06-22 @ 2:00 PM
Description: Hardware issue out of SLCC causing an outage for some sites. We are working on a resolution as soon possible. More info will come as it it is available. Update: We will be performing emergency maintenance ASAP at our SLCC POP to replace a failing card. Various schools and backbone connections will go down for a few minutes as a result. Update: The maintenance begins now. Update: The card has been replaced and all connections have been restored. Will continue to monitor. Update: This outage was resolved at 10:38 PM.
Impact: Sites and equipment connected to scc-pe-a are down.

Outage Types:

Outage: An observed outage, not scheduled.

Normal: A planned outage, 24 hours in advance.

Urgent: A planned outage, 12 hours in advance

Emergency: Immediate outage required

Third Party Maintenance: A planned outage performed by an organization other than UEN
