Desktop Pub. - Quark XPress 3: Certificate
This lesson is the third of six teaching Desktop Publishing skills using Quark XPress software. Other DTP software may be substituted. In this lesson, the students will create a certificate of completion with borders, text, check boxes, and vector-based medallion.
-
Desktop Pub. - Quark XPress 4: Video Box
This lesson is the fourth in a series of six that teach basic Desktop Publishing skills with Quark XPress. Other DTP software can also be used. In this lesson, students will lay out an oversized document (tabloid size) and irregularly shaped pieces to create the box for a videotape.
-
Desktop Pub. - Quark XPress 5: Brochure
This is the fifth of six lessons designed to teach basic Desktop Publishing skills using Quark XPress or other DTP software. In this lesson, the student will design a 3-panel (2-fold) brochure in landscape orientation over two pages, create multiple linked text boxes that flow in the correct order, use bullets in a non-numbered list as in-line graphics, and use good principles of layout design.
-
Desktop Pub. - Quark XPress 6: Newsletter
This is the final project out of six for basic Desktop Publishing skills in Quark XPress or other application. This lesson is meant to simulate designing a real four-page newsletter using text on a subject unfamiliar to the student, which will require careful layout, editing, proofreading, and design skills. Advanced features common to newsletters, such as pull quotes, mast heads, title bars, pagination, jump lines, captions, sidebars, master pages, and style sheets will be used.
