CTE/Education & Training Curriculum Early Childhood Education 1
Lesson Plans

Strand 2

Students will develop age-appropriate curriculum for young children.
  • LITERACY: ABC Activities
Students will be introduced to the creative ways to teach young children about the alphabet.
  • LITERACY: Books and Story Telling
LITERACY and BOOKS are an important part of the early childhood curriculum. This lesson introduces literacy concepts. It also deals with STORY TELLING skills.
  • LITERACY: Story Stretchers
STORY STRETCHERS or EXTENSIONS are used to reinforce a story. They can include a variety of activities that are DAP for young children. The story stretchers can be included in various learning centers in child care centers and preschools. This was one of my students' favorite activities!
