Strand 6: HUMAN DEVELOPMENT (HD)

Students will learn basic anatomy and physiology of body systems, universal precautions, and skills to build healthy relationships. Utah Code requires parental notification for instruction on child sexual abuse prevention.

Standard 4.HD.1:

Describe the skeletal and muscular systems and their basic functions.
  • Major Muscle Song
    Students will learn the major muscles of the body through song.
  • Skeleton Systems-Major Body Parts
    Students will be introduced to and learn about the skeletal system as one of the major body systems. Students will know the technical names of the major bones in the Skeletal System. This is part one of the main body systems.
