Demonstrate command of the conventions of standard English capitalization, punctuation, and spelling when writing.

    Spelling endings - Shall we double the letter and add "ing" ? Or do we change the "y" to an "i" and ad "ed". Learn about word patterns.
  • How to Study
    This site provides students and teachers with strategies and skills that will help students do better in school. It provides information on how to prepare to study, how to improve reading skills, and how to take notes.
  • SpellaRoo
    SpellaRoo can hop better than he can spell. Help him out. Click on the word that is spelled wrong. If you get twenty right, you will go to the "Land of Joeys". To start, click on a level.
  • SpellingCity.com
    Students can enter their spelling words and then select either Test Me, Teach Me, or Play a Game.
  • Stay Afloat
    Stay afloat is similar to Hangman. You must guess the words before all the objects are loaded and the boat sinks!
  • The Plural Girls
    Twin sisters Pearl and Flora lost their friends in the bubble machine. Help them get their friends out by choosing the correct plural form of the given word.
  • Word Central
    There are a variety of activities found on this site. Activities include: An online dictionary; A build-your-own dictionary where students can enter their own words; a daily buzzword; a science lab that write phrases in codes; a rhyming dictionary, etc.
  • Word Confusion
    Students are asked to select the appropriate homonym to complete a sentence.
