SUU Pop maintenance: 2017-10-10 @ 11:00 PM Description: We are adding ethernet ports to the SUU pop site and upgrading some equipment.
Update: This maintenance will begin in 5 minutes.
Update: This maintenance completed at 12:47 AM. Impact: This will not impact SUU campus however several school districts in the region will temporarily go offline.
Emery Telcom: 2017-10-10 @ 11:55 PM Description: UDOT is splicing fibers on non-traffic fiber binder groups to turn up their backbone network.
This Maintenance is to take place nightly October 10th-13th from 12:00 AM - 6 AM
Update: This maintenance completed on time. Impact: This is a precautionary notification, no traffic carrying fiber should be disturbed.
SCC POP Maintenance: 2017-10-12 @ 11:00 PM Description: UEN will finish adding additional capability at the SCC POP.
Update: This maintenance will begin in 5 minutes.
Update: This maintenance completed at 12:50 AM. Impact: All Gigabit Ethernet connections on scc-pe-b-159 will go down while the connections are moved to different ports.
Security Patching of Network Devices: 2017-10-23 @ 12:45 PM Description: UETN will be performing EMERGENCY MAINTENANCE on the network to mitigate a discovered vulnerability in some of our network infrastructure. Due to the nature of this vulnerability some devices require a code upgrade to fully mitigate the risk.
As a result, we will be contacting impacted organizations throughout the day and scheduling a timeframe to apply these changes.
If we are unable to contact the site, or find a specific time, we will be performing these changes during a maintenance window this evening beginning at 11p Local time.
Update: This maintenance will begin in 5 minutes.
Update: This outage was resolved on time. Impact: For sites impacted, UETN staff will need to in many cases reboot the impacted devices to install a version of code which is not impacted by this issue. An outage of service will occur during this process and can last for up to 10 minutes.
Century Link Maintanance: 2017-10-24 @ 11:00 PM Description: Centurylink performing maintenance on back plane.
Update: This maintenance completed on time. Impact: Washington School District.
CentraCom Maintanance: 2017-10-24 @ 11:55 PM Description: Replacing a core device at the Data Bank Data Center (formally known as the C7 Data Center) in Bluffdale, UT.
Update: This maintenance completed on time. Impact: Centracom services running through C7.
UVU POP Maintenance: 2017-10-26 @ 11:00 PM Description: UEN will be moving Gigabit Ethernet connections to new ports off of the uvu-pe-a-138 device.
Update: This maintenance will begin in 5 minutes.
Update: This maintenance completed at 2:44 AM. Impact: All Gigabit Ethernet connections on uvu-pe-a-138 will be down at some point during this maintenance.
Centurylink Outage impacting Kearns and Tooele Area: 2017-10-29 @ 1:00 AM Description: CenturyLink has reported a cable loss between Kearns and Tooele they have a tech in route. No ETR provided.
Update: This outage was resolved at 3:40 AM. Impact: Sites in Kearns and Tooele area
Outage Types:
Outage: An observed outage, not scheduled.
Normal: A planned outage, 24 hours in advance.
Urgent: A planned outage, 12 hours in advance
Emergency: Immediate outage required
Third Party Maintenance: A planned outage performed by an organization other than UEN
