Fit First

Fit First helps tackle mind, body, and spirit issues behind obesity and bad nutrition in Canada's Aboriginal communities. Under the guidance of trainer Kent Brown, a group of adults takes part in physical and spiritual challenges that take them out of the conventional gym setting. Fit First gets up close and personal with participants as they commit to getting healthy inside & out!The Youth Edition follows four Aboriginal youth from different walks of life who struggle with being overweight but have set a goal to get healthy in mind, body, and spirit. The four participants become part of Kent Brown's gym and learn to sweat off the pounds to become lean and powerful inside and out. Each individual will train with sledgehammers and tires and, as a group, will participate in physical and spiritual challenges that take them out of the conventional gym setting. Fit First: Youth Edition gets up close and personal with each participant as they commit to getting healthy or not.
