Activities at the Evaluate Level
Learners assess, test, justify, critique, rate, defend, prioritize, recommend, decide, choose, monitor, determine, and make judgments
Monitor Utah cloud cover. Create a 2-week chart and monitor the type of clouds you see each day. Indicate the time of day that you recorded the cloud cover as well as the actual weather at the time of your observation.
Critique the accuracy of local weathercasters. Pick a Utah meteorologist and record his/her forecasts for daily high temperatures and daily low temperatures. You can find a local meteorologist on television, on the internet, on the radio, and in the newspaper. Create a 2-week chart and record what the meteorologist predicts. Then record what the actual high and low temperatures were. You will probably have the best luck locating the actual daily temperatures using online resources.
Evaluate the weather on other planets and defend your good luck to be living on planet earth.
