Summary

This lesson will demonstrate how easily germs are spread.

Materials

• Ball
• Glow-Germ Kit, including glow germ and black light.

Student Prior Knowledge

• Germs are bad.
• Germs make you sick.

Intended Learning Outcomes

To see how easily germs are spread.

Instructional Procedures

Apply Glogerm to the ball. And pass it around to all the students, have fun letting the children play with the ball. After playing with the ball, continue with an alternate lesson.

Before lunch, show the children where the glo-germ has ended up by turning off the lights and turning on a black light. Allow the children to see how there is glogerm on their hands, desks, faces, etc. Then let them wash their hands for lunch.
